Find the fish fast...
Use the right tools for the job
I'm starting to shop for an anniversary present for my husband and I know he has been wanting some more electronics for the boat, you know how boys like their toys especially when they are high tech gadgets. He tries to convince me that I'm actually getting something for both of us, since the better gadgets he has the more fish he catches and therefore better dinner for me, it's a nice try. Marine electronics are a whole different ballgame than regular electronics because as soon as the word boat becomes involved the prices jack up instantly. Its really important to do your homework so you end up getting the best price possible when you go shopping for gps systems or fishfinders.
I've pretty much settled on getting him a lowrance fish finder this time around. I have to figure out a way to get the transducer installed without him noticing. I've made a couple calls around to see if there is someone they can send out to do it at my house while he's at work because I can't drive the trailer and I really want it to be a surprise.
I think he will love it and its a lot of fun to spring gifts on him since he is so appreciative. Ever since he has taken up salt water fishing he has been a lot easier to buy for, before that I used to wrack my brain for hours since men are so hard to buy for.
