Never get lost again with a gps
I was shocked to see the prices some dealerships try to charge for options and upgrades in new cars like dvd players and gps systems. I can't even imagine paying them up to two or three times the retail price for equipment you can easily go purchase and install yourself or for a small charge. I don't understand why things installed at the factory could be so much pricier than add ons.
I decided my new car needed a navigational system because I get lost so much so I got garmin gps systems put into my car and my husbands (for the days I drive his car). What a difference for me, I actually get places on time for a change.
Trying to fuss with cumbersome street and city maps was not cutting it for me so my gps nav system is one of my favorite toys ever. Even my friends how noticed how less frazzled I appear when I arrive somewhere. Plus I saved a fortune by opting to go with the aftermarket nav system instead of the factory one. And if I ever travel with a friend in their car, my garmin is easy enough to just pop out of my car and bring along for the ride. Just don't rely on them too much if you are trying to get to a newly built neighborhood, I've found that new subdivisions are not always listed on the gps mapping program because they haven't been updated to include them yet.
