I don't think I have ever been as lost as I was on my family's last road trip up to the mountains. We drove up and down dirt roads making one wrong turn after the other until we finally found a local who could point us in the right direction, which we wouldn't have had to do if I just got the GPS system that I wanted as an option on my car.

Ever since then I have been begging my husband for a portable navigation system. I read some reviews and it seems that the Tom Tom gps is the one everyone seems to be happy with. Every one said how user friendly the Tom Tom brand was to use. Aside from the whole getting lost part, our vacation was one of the best we have ever taken. Being up in the mountains with the crisp air and beautifully colored trees all around us, it really felt like we were a million miles from home.

Next time I know we will have a gps system to help guide us through without getting lost again. Those big bulky street maps are impossible to read so I want to get one of the talking gps satellite systems so that we don't even have to look down at the screen, I'm not very good at multitasking. Plus now there are so many good deals and specials being advertised, you can pick up a top of the line gps system for a reasonable price.
